Students willing to apply for M. Sc./M. A. (Part I) in Mathematics at S. P. College, Pune are required to take note of the following details:

Entrance Test will be conducted for M.Sc./ M.A. Part-I admissions. 

1. The students desirous to take admission for M. Sc./ M.A. Mathematics Part-I at the Department of Mathematics, Sir Parashurambhau College, Pune, both from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and universities other than SPPU must appear for the Entrance Test. 

2. Admissions for 90% seats of the total intake capacity are offered to the students from SPPU on the basis of 

(i) B. Sc./ B.A./ B. Sc. B. Ed. Mathematics marks (Principal Total) and 

(ii) Entrance Test marks 

with equal weightage to (i) and (ii).

3. 10% seats of the total intake capacity are offered to the students from the universities other than SPPU and their admissions will be only on the basis of marks scored in Entrance Test subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criterion

• Eligibility criterion prescribed by SPPU in ordinance 181 for admissions to post graduate courses will be followed.
• Reservation norms by Government of Maharashtra and Government of India will be followed. 
• The Entrance Test will be conducted in online mode on Sunday August 08, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Application form of Entrance Test for admissions to M.Sc./ M.A. Mathematics Part-I for the academic year 2021-22 will be available online from July 22, 2021 to August 4, 2021. 
• No further correspondence will be entertained for incomplete applications. 

Paper pattern and Syllabus for entrance test:  

• Entrance test will consist of objective type questions (with single correct answer) only
• Objective questions will be based on syllabus attached herewith
• There will be 25 questions carrying 2 marks each.
• For each incorrect answer (-1) mark will be given. 

Instructions to fill online Application form for Entrance Test:   

1. Click on the link https://www.epravesh.com/CourseForm.aspx?ID=2537 for online application form of Entrance Test 

2. Register as new user. 

3. Fill the Personal details along with qualifying examination details as required in the application form. 4. Application form and Processing fee (non-refundable and non-transferable): Rs. 500/- (to be paid online only) + Payment gateway charges. 

5. Preserve the receipt of the online application fee paid for future reference. 

6. Do not submit hard copy (Print out) of the application form to the department office. 

7. Students from SPPU having Mathematics as principal subject applying whose Result is awaited should fill the Principal Total and upload scanned copy of final year mark sheet within one week after declaration of SPPU B.Sc. Mathematics result. 

8. Result of Entrance Test will be displayed on August 13, 2021 after 04:00 p.m. 

9. General merit list for SPPU students based on Entrance Test marks and B. Sc./ B.A./ B. Sc. B. Ed. Mathematics marks (Principal Total) will be displayed within 15 days after the declaration of SPPU B.Sc. Mathematics Result. 

10.General merit list for students from universities other than SPPU (based on Entrance Test marks only) will be displayed along with the merit list for SPPU students.
