The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to Master's programs in Pharmacy. Eligibility Criteria:

To appear for GPAT 2023, a candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or a Master's degree in any discipline of Science, Pharmacy or a diploma in Pharmacy.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in GPAT 2023.


Application Process:

The application process for GPAT 2023 will begin in the first week of November 2022. The following steps need to be followed to complete the application process:

Registration: The candidate needs to register themselves on the official website of NTA. They will have to fill in their basic details like name, email ID, mobile number, etc. A system generated application number will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID and mobile number.

Filling the Application Form: After registration, the candidate needs to fill in the application form with their personal and academic details. They also need to select the exam center and upload their scanned photograph and signature.

Payment of Application Fee: The application fee can be paid through online mode using debit card/credit card/net banking or through offline mode using an e-challan.

Submission of Application Form: After completing all the above steps, the candidate needs to submit their application form. They should take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.



Exam Pattern:

GPAT 2023 will be a computer-based test that will consist of 125 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam will be three hours. The questions will be asked from the following sections:

Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Pharmaceutics

Pharmacology

Pharmacognosy

Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics

Each correct answer will be awarded four marks, and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The total marks of the exam will be 500.
