1.About College
Poona college of Pharmacy is the first Degree College of Pharmacy in the Pune region established in 1981 and It is grant-in aid institute of Government of Maharashtra State. Dr. Pantagrao Kadam, Founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), in view of providing quality education and research in field of Pharmacy took lead to establish this college. Under the dynamic leadership of Chancellor Prof. Shivajirao Kadam, and Principal, Dr. K. R. Mahadik, the college has developed as one of the centers for academic excellence in Pharmacy.
Poona College of Pharmacy was earlier permanently affiliated to University of Pune. In recognition of high level of academic excellence of college and its potential for further growth it is brought under the umbrella of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) from academic year 2000. Since 1985-86, the college provides Post Graduate education (M. Pharm.) in seven branches viz. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Quality Assurance Techniques and Drug Regulatory Affairs. It is the first institute in Maharashtra State approved by PCI in 2009 to provide education in Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), a Post Graduate Programme in Pharmacy Practice ; it is also first to start B.Pharm Practice from 2019, qualification and skill up gradation programme for D. Pharm qualified Pharmacists. The college is also recognized center for Doctoral research all these branches.
At national level the college has been ranked 21th position by NIRF, 2020, Government of India. Our college is probably the only college in the country to have been reaccredited from both NBA and NAAC for Third Cycle and has got the coveted “A+” Grade. UGC has awarded Category University Status to Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). The college is also an ISO-9001-2015 certified institute. The UGC in recognition of our expert faculty, research achievements, high level of academic excellence and rich infrastructure has inducted us in the Departmental Research Scheme (DRS) of the Special Assistance Programme (SAP) of UGC. AICTE has granted us the status of Quality Improvement Cell (Q.I.P.) for teaching fraternity to register themselves for M.Pharm. and Ph.D. programmes. In addition we have been receiving grants from all the major funding agencies like AICTE, UGC, DST, DBT, DRDO etc.

The annual intake of first year B.Pharm Course is 100 students, out of these 60 seats are in the grant-in-aid division and remaining 40 seats are under self financed division. All students admitted through will be admitted on 40 seats for B.Pharm and 30 for Pharm D. which are self financed courses.

Out of 40 seats for B. Pharm and 30 seats for Pharm D.,15% seats are reserved under Foreign / NRI /P.I.O. / OCI/ Institutional Quota Merit Category. Candidates seeking admissions to the seats under Foreign / NRI /P.I.O. / OCI/ Institutional Quota Merit category will have to apply separately on a prescribed application form. The application form will be available at the office of The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, L.B.S. Marg, Pune-30. The form fee for this category is Rs. 1,000/- (non refundable).
Seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign / NRI / P.I.O./ OCI Students (based on Merit), will be allotted to Indian students under Institutional Quota on the basis of merit based of the marks obtained by them in B.Tech, B.Pharm/Pharm D. 3 ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for appearing for B. Pharm and subsequent admission
1 The candidate must be an Indian National. He has to produce a proof in support of his nationality from a competent authority.
2 “Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State
Candidate for admission to first year of degree course in Pharmacy:
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed HSC (Std XII) examination or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) and or (PCMB) Biology and secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State).
Candidate who have passed Diploma course in pharmacy (ER 1991) with minimum of 45% marks from AICTE approved colleges from Maharashtra State or its equivalent will also be eligible for the admission to First Year B. Pharm. (I semester) course.
The admission to the B.Pharm Programme at the Poona College of Pharmacy, Pune are subjected to Directions from UGC Ministry of HRD and the State Government, Maharashtra from time to time. The candidate must have appeared for the All India i.e. conducted by this university.
3 Candidates who have appeared or who are likely to appear for the qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C. or equivalent but whose results have not been as yet declared can also appear for this entrance test provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examination.

PROCEDURE AND RULES FOR ADMISSION
ONLINE COMPUTER BASED ENTRANCE TEST - GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. PHARMPG-2020 is a ranking examination for admission to First Year M.Pharm. post graduate programmes for 2020-21 academic session.
2. Applicant may kindly note that mere appearance in the online computer based entrance test and inclusion of name in the merit list does not confer any automatic rights to secure admission to the programme offered by the college. The selection and admission to the programme is subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, and any such criteria as may be prescribed by the University and availability of seats to the particular programme and college at the time of counseling.
3. Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated information will not be considered
4. Incomplete online application, if not in accordance with instructions, will not be considered and processed. Applicant should carefully fill up all the fields during online application process and complete the payment process. Application once submitted finally, cannot be withdrawn/modified.
5. The online computer based entrance test fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates who remain absent for the entrance test will forfeit their entrance test fee.
6 The authorities of the college reserves the right to withdraw permission, if any, granted inadvertently to any candidate who is not eligible to appear in the online computer based entrance test even though Admit card/Registration number has been issued.
7 The Admissions provided to candidates based on the result of the online computer based entrance test will be purely provisional and subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the Information brochure.
8 Under no circumstance a change in online computer based entrance test centre once selected by the
candidate will be allowed.
9 Candidates MUST bring the following documents to the test centre–
(a) Printed copy of Admit Card
(b) Anyone of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired): Aadhaar Card /PAN
card/Driving license/Voter ID/Passport.
The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit card. Candidate
reporting to online computer based entrance test center without the above said requisite documents shall
not be allowed to appear for the online computer based entrance test.
